The church in Ephesus

Verses: Revelation 2: 1-7

Beloved, before we turn our attention to the church in Ephesus this morning, I would like to do a bit of a recap … and I want to start off by reminding you that if you are a Christian … that is … if you have devoted your life to the living God … Who by the death and resurrection of His Son , Jesus the Christ … brought you back into a right relationship with Him Who is Holy, Holy, Holy … and now by God’s grace you have the Holy Spirit working both in and through you … then the book of Revelation need not cause you any kind of anxiety or worry … because if you are in Christ … then the book of Revelation is Christ revealing himself to His church … to His bride … How He will be victorious over death and sin … we need not worry nor fear … for our eternity is secure in the Messiah. And the chapters we will be looking at over the next couple of weeks will reveal to us afresh how much Christ really does care for the church …
